Present Needs at La Senda

We were very blessed to receive a generous donation from a friend to build another classroom. That money is now being used for that purpose, and we have also taken out of the general fund to continue the area of construction with another classroom and two bathrooms.

Our funds are running a bit short for the roofing ($4,300), the windows ($2,400), the flooring ($4,000), desks ($1050) and the bathroom furnishings ($600). Also, for next school year (starting January 2008), we need even one more classroom ($15K).

It is such a privilege for us to provide a Christian atmosphere with a school that has students enrolled from four different villages. EVERY school day the students hear the message of Christ. That is the purpose of our school: To provide yet another avenue to reach the unsaved.

We are in desperate need of four teachers per quarter from the US to volunteer to teach English classes in our school for the 2008 school year.

Ideally, we would love to have volunteers be here for the entire school year. However, we also could use folks who might be willing to come for a quarter at a time.

The approximate dates for each quarter are: First Quarter, January 8 - March 17, 2008; Second Quarter, March 18 - May 30; Third Quarter, June 2 - August 15, 2008; Fourth Quarter, August 18 - October 24, 2008.
