LA SENDA CHILDREN'S HOME

La Senda opened its doors in 1999 with the vision to provide a home to a small group of children.

Each child is viewed as one dearly loved by God and chosen to be Princes and Princesses in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Over the years the home has provided a refuge for more than sixty children with anywhere from eight to twenty five children at a time.

Presently there are sixteen children who call La Senda home. They have all been a part of the ministry’s family for at least eight years.

One of the ways the ministry is able to function is through a child sponsorship program. Sponsors are called "Encouragers" (Read More) and are asked to donate US$25.00 monthly to an assigned child, pray daily for the child, and correspond at least three times a year with the child. If you are interested in being an Encourager, please contact us.

Children that live at the La Senda home also receive a Christian education at the La Senda school.

TWOP raises financial support from the United States for La Senda as well as offers spiritual direction for this Guatemalan mission. La Senda, however, is governed by a Guatemalan board of directors and, though financially supported by TWOP, is a separate non-profit organization recognized by the government of Guatemala.
